Masamichi Okuda serves as Managing director and Chief Executive Officer of A’ALDA Pte. Ltd,.
He believes the human-animal bond to be precious, as his dog helped him overcome several setbacks while he was a student.
To give back to the animal community he joined PECO Inc., a venture company, in hopes to tackle a number of issues surrounding the pet industry. He became the CEO of PECO’s overseas subsidiary after successfully transforming its media platform and products for pets.
Living with ten animals, he wishes to revolutionize the pet industry leading to happy animals. He thus founded A’alda Pte. Ltd,. in Singapore in April 2019 to create a society where people and animals can coexist harmoniously.
Ohhun Kwon serves as Director and Chief Operating Officer of A’ALDA Pte. Ltd,. and Director of A’ALDA VET INDIA Pvt. Ltd,.
As a starting member, he has been a driving force from the company’s inception, playing critical leadership roles in determining and implementing the company’s vision and strategy.
Previously, he was a member of the strategy consulting team of a Big 4 consulting firm, where he was engaged in consulting projects focusing on M&A strategy development and business due diligence for large Japanese corporations.
Prior to that, he worked for a Big 4 consulting firm, where he was involved in projects such as company-wide BPR and RPA implementation support for large corporations.
Shiv Whorra serves as the Chief Technology Officer for A’alda. Shiv joined A’alda in February 2020 as one of it’s key members for India and subsequently Asia. He has been responsible in overseeing the company’s technological direction and has overseen the design & development of their HMS, a proprietary hospital management software along with various websites & client-facing mobile applications.
Having had dogs as part of his family for 24 years alongside an educational background in technology, Shiv has a deep passion for technology and animals – making A’alda the perfect intersection of the two. He believes that technology can be a driving force in improviing animal healthcare and strives to make that a reality.
Shiv has previously worked as a Director for Episode, a leading silverware retail chain, as well as Head of Information Systems for Exper Executive Education Pvt Ltd, a behavioural learning organization. Shiv completed his schooling from St. Columbas School, New Delhi & his Bachelors of Science in Information Systems Management from Singapore Management University.
Atsushi Ohnuma serves as Chief Financial Officer of A’ALDA Pte. Ltd,.
He worked for Nomura Securities for 15 years where he was mainly involved in the wealth management business and engaged in value-up consulting for excellent companies and their owners’ family asset management. He was also dedicated to product marketing and sales strategy promotion at the headquarters. During his tenure, he was seconded to Schroder, a world leader in asset management.
He joined A’alda in February 2020.
Joined A’alda in April 2023 as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) with prior experiences in investment banking of Credit Suisse and SMBC Nikko Securities.
Her investment banking career focused on sectors such as TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) and consumer & retail, providing advisory services related to M&As, and fundraisings including IPOs for both domestic and overseas clients.
Lei holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Economics from Oxford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bocconi University.
Frank Pei joined A’alda in April 2023 and serves as its Chief Global Officer. Frank brings two decades of experiences in corporate finance and strategy in Asia and Europe, and was previously a managing director at the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. He holds a Master of Science degree in Business from Norwegian School of Economics.
After graduating from Kitasato University School of Veterinary Medicine, he trained at the University of Tokyo Animal Medical Center and Rakuno Gakuen University.
In 2011, he became the director of TRVA Night Emergency Veterinary Medical Center.

President of the Japanese Society of Veterinary Emergency Intensive Care Medicine
Dr. Fossum is a world-renowned veterinary surgeon, entrepreneur, and the CEO and co-founder of Dr. Fossum’s Pet Care which is producing natural pet wellness products that are safe and effective. She has authored or co-authored over 100 manuscripts in referred journals and is the author of Small Animal Surgery, which is in its 5th edition.
Dr. Fossum was formerly Vice President of Research and Strategic Initiatives at Midwestern University and prior to that Chancellor for Global and Corporate Partnerships for the Texas A&M University System. She is the founder and former Director and Executive Director of the Texas A&M Institute for Preclinical Studies (TIPS), a $60 million venture at TAMU which promotes public-private partnerships to speed the development of medical devices and drugs. Her leadership was integral in conceptualizing and funding the Institute.
Dr. Kei Hayashi is a veterinary surgeon and an orthopedic scientist. He is also a co-author of Small Animal Surgery.
Dr. Hayashi graduated from the University of Tokyo with BVMS/DVM/PhD degrees, and then obtained MS and PhD degrees at the University of Wisconsin. He completed a small animal surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He served as an assistant professor of small animal orthopedic surgery at the Michigan State University then moved to UC Davis and was tenured in 2012. He was appointed to Cornell University in February 2013, where he currently serves as a professor. He is particularly interested in sports medicine for small animals; advanced arthroscopy; total joint replacement; fracture management; and training the next generation of veterinarians.
